Usage / Properties / Application
A lipophilic vitamin A ester that is hydrolyzed in skin to retinol and then converted downstream to retinoic acid, giving it a slower, milder retinoid-release profile than direct retinol/retinoic acid systems.
It is suitable for anti-aging, gentle renewal, fine-line care, uneven texture, and photoaging-focused formulations where lower irritation and better skin tolerance are important positioning points.
It is best applied in night creams, anti-aging serums, barrier-support moisturizers, and retinoid products for sensitive or beginner users, ideally combined with niacinamide, peptides, ceramides, antioxidants, and daily sunscreen support.
