Usage / Properties / Application

Used in cosmetic formulations for skin renewal, anti-photoaging repair, hydration support, and UV-stress recovery.

Scientific data show that folic acid improved primary human fibroblast viability and proliferation, increased the repair rate of UV-induced DNA damage, and in a 30-day folacin-containing cream test improved skin moisturization, reduced TEWL, increased elasticity, and reduced roughness-related microtopography markers.

It is suitable for anti-aging creams, post-sun repair products, skin-regeneration formulas, and antioxidant/DNA-repair positioning systems, but should be formulated carefully because folic acid has limited solubility and light sensitivity.
